Don’t miss the chance to be at the European Winter Walking Days from 5 to 8 March 2020 in St. Johann in Tirol (Austria)! The event is organised in cooperation with the local Tourismusverband, Tirol Werbung and ERA. The organisers have prepared a varied programme of walking, cross-country skiing or snow-shoes walking activities, eating of local food and some time together to meet other walkers. Ne manquez pas le rendez-vous des Journées Européennes de la Randannée Hivernale à St. Johann in Tirol (Autriche) du 5 au 8 mars 2020 ! Cet évènement est réalisé en coopération avec l’Office de Tourisme local, Tirol Werbung, et la FERP. Les organisateurs ont prévu des randonnées, des randonnées à ski de fond de niveaux de difficulté variable, ou des randonnées en raquettes, au programme des dégustations de produits locaux et des temps de rencontres avec d’autres randonneurs.

Európska asociácia peších turistov - ERA (European Ramblers Association ERA-EWV-FERP) združuje 55 členských organizácií z 30-tich európskych krajín, čo predstavuje súhrnnú členskú základňu 2 700 000 aktívnych turistov, pestujúcich pravidelný pohyb v prírode. ERA prišla s myšlienkou prepojiť národné sústavy turistických magistrál (trans-európskych diaľkových chodníkov pre nemotorizovaných turistov) pod označením E1 až E12. Dve z nich - E3 a E8 prechádzajú cez Slovensko, pričom využívajú existujúcu sieť vyznačených turistických trás.

Hodnoty, filozofia a program ERA:

• ochrana prírody a krajiny,
• úcta k európskej kultúre a histórii,
• rešpekt k národným špecifikám,
• cezhraničná spolupráca pri vytváraní bezberiérovej Európy.

KST je rešpektovaným členom ERA, keďže je spracovateľom a odborným garantom STN 01 8025 Turistické značenie, má štátnu akreditáciu na Ministerstve školstva SR v odbornosti Značkár a Inštruktor značenia. Vyškolený doborovoľní značkári KST udržujú celoslovenskú sieť turistických chodníkov. KST vedie evidenciu týchto trás na území SR, prideľuje im farebnosť a evidenčtné čísla, koordinuje napojenie slovenskej siete značkovaných trás na európsku sieť.

ERA agendu zastrešuje Medzinárodná komisia (MeK) KST osobou predsedu, ktorý operatívnym kontaktom so sekretariátom ERA obvykle poveruje buď generálneho sekretára KST alebo sekciu značenia.

Dear friends,

As you know, SKV initiated in 2015 a long-distance path called Via Carpatica that joins Serbia, Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria.

We then agreed, within the ERA, that this section should overlap with E3 and E8 as much as possible and only additionally to have a specific regional designation.

Meanwhile, the subject has a lot of interest and there is a risk that private initiatives, some purely commercial, will catch up with the idea and to appear all sorts of variations on this route.

The Sutenaible Development of The Carpathian is now the purpose of the Carpathian Convention. SKV is a member of Romania's team of The Carpathian Convention. I was surprised to find that hiking is poorly represented in the Carpathian Convention and there is a risk that many important decisions for the future will be taken without our consultation. That is why I invite you to join in this European authority in which we work together with other actors and promote joint initiatives like the Via Carpatica, who is the most recent. By default, we will handle better management of E3 and E8 routes, especially because the Carpathian Convention supports cross-border collaboration and provides funding.

I'm sending you a proposal-scheme as a basis for discussion to define the Via Carpathian route on two branches with different levels of difficulty.

In order to better coordinate our activity, we invite you in the next spring, from April to May, in Romania, at Brasov, at Postavaru chalet. The exact date will be agreed upon. A special invitation will be sent to the ERA management from which we request technical expertise.
